The movie Slumdog Millionaire has won many international awards and accolades, including the most coveted award Oscar. For Indians it was a proud moment when three of its finest artists won the Oscar, the music maestro A R Rahman, sound mixing expert Resul Pookuty and Gulzar for the lyrics of ’ Jai ho’. The movie plot was inspired from of Asia’s largest slum Dharavi. I had in the past covered many stories from Dharavi.
